Respect the Title: Why It’s Massage Therapist, Not Masseuse
A common mistake is calling someone who performs massage by the wrong name. For example calling a male a masseuse is incorrect males are called masseur’s. The correct term is massage therapist. Now only is masseur/masseuse outdated, it can be very distasteful saying the incorrect name if a person refer themselves a massage therapist. Massage therapist has countless hours of training and professional licensing by the state. Masseuse/masseur mostly do not have the same training and professionalism.
